The Staff Accountant supports a variety of mid-level accounting duties, which include both day-to-day activities and projects.

Responsibilities

• Post monthly, quarterly, and year-end journal entries for PP&E
• Prepare and maintain monthly reconciliations for PP&E and related balance sheet accounts
• Assist with developing CAPEX Budgets 
• Create, maintain, and close capital projects
• Generate spend reports for open projects
• Prepare ADHOC fixed asset reports for management and operations
• Prepare audit schedules and complete requests from external auditiors during quarterly and year-end audits
• Properly execute controls to ensure compliance with JSOX
• Provide support as needed to other members of the corporate accounting team

Education

Bachelor’s degree, Accounting degree preferred

Requirements/Qualifications

• Knowledge of GAAP financial reporting 
• Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint 
• Strong organizational and analytical skills 
• Self-starter and strong work ethic
• Team-player and flexible 
• Avalible to work extended hours and potentially weekends as needed to meet month-end or audit deadlines 

Preferred:

• Experience in the construction materials industry 
• Experience with SAP 

Conditions of Employment

Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated on-going drug and alcohol testing.
