Compensation
$50,000-$65,000 DOE
Responsibilities
- Evaluation of new lease contracts between operating and finance leases (compliance checklist)
- Gather necessary contract data and enter terms for payment and ROU valuation for all:
- Administrative office leases
- Land leases
- Plant leases
- Royalty and other sales-based leases
- Rail - land
- Rail – car
- Mobile equipment
- Coordinate quarterly incremental borrowing rate with Treasury and validate REFX present value calculation
- Coordinate and manage contract changes such as CPI increases, extensions, vendor account changes, remittance notices, mobile equipment transfers, and early terminations
- Coordinate support for all J-SOX compliance testing including new contracts, changes, and SAP access
- Disposal of ROU assets from the FA ledger following lease termination
- Coordinate support for all J-SOX compliance testing including new contracts, changes, and SAP access
- Disposal of ROU assets from the FA ledger following lease termination
- Validate monthly lease payments (AP) against REFX reporting (and landlord invoices as needed)
- Monthly reconciliation of ROU asset detail to lease liability balances
- Prepare and post quarterly JE to properly classify operating and finance leases between short-term and long-term
- Monthly analysis of Rent Expense GL detail to ensure compliance with ASC 842
- Prepare lease expense and lease amortization budgets utilizing REFX reporting and new CAR forms
- REFX reporting for new contracts and valuation (testing for internal and external audits)
- REFX reporting for commitments and contingencies as needed for year-end financial statement disclosures
- Weighted Average remaining lease term for operating and finance leases
- Cash payment disclosures for the current year and annually for 5 yrs. and total beyond 5 yrs.
Education
Bachelor’s degree, accounting degree preferred
Requirements/Qualifications
- Knowledge of GAAP financial reporting
- Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Self-starter and strong work ethic
- Team-player and flexible
- Available to work extended hours and weekends as needed to meet deadlines
Preferred:
- Experience in the construction materials industry
- Experience with SAP
Conditions of Employment
Successful candidate must submit to a post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) registration/clearance as well as ongoing alcohol and drug testing.
