Human Resources Administrator (Summerlin)
Job Summary
Under general supervision, performs a variety of human resources support activities for the Summerlin, NV, and Glendora, CA Corporate office. Coordinates with other departments, units, managers, employees, and vendors to ensure the efficient operations of the Human Resources day-to-day functions.

Compensation
Responsibilities
- Administer the pre-employment hiring process, order background reports, coordinate physicals, drug screens, and orientations
- Coordinate new hire orientation with HR, Benefits, Safety, and Environmental
- Coordinate new hire paperwork and IT set up with each region as necessary
- Administer agency temp onboarding with recruiting and hiring managers
- Ensure compliance with all State and Federal Regulations
- Continuously improve administrative systems and processes, consistent with internal policies and procedures
- Serve as an administrator and/or super-user for assigned HR system modules
- Maintain and conduct annual audits of personnel files, I-9 forms, and other various processes
- Prepare and maintain employee communications for the Executive Offices
- As assigned, administer company programs such as service awards
- Answer incoming calls to the HR Hotline and direct to the appropriate department (Benefits, Payroll, WC, Safety, etc.)
- Order and maintain annual labor law posters for designated offices
- Respond to unemployment claims and direct to other regions when necessary
- Ensure all invoices are accurate, processed, and paid in a timely fashion
- Provide quality service to both internal and external customers
- Open and sort department mail and order office supplies
- Support VP of Human Resources and other Summerlin based HR staff
- Provide reception desk coverage for lunch breaks and other breaks as required
- Other administrative duties and ad hoc projects as required and directed
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Labor Industrial Relations, Public Administration, Social Science or a closely related field preferred
Requirements/Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of state and federal law including but not limited to Fair Labor Standards Act, Title VII, EEO and leave laws
- Methods and techniques for personnel record keeping and filing
- Knowledge of practices and procedures in an office environment
- Strong MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills
- Interpersonal skills, tact, patience, and courtesy; ability to build professional relationships with others
- Strong oral and written communications skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently; strong organizational skills
- Highly confidential and ethical
Preferred:
- Bilingual - English/Spanish
- Related experience in construction, building materials, and/or Department of Transportation (DOT) experience
- HRIS experience
Conditions of Employment
Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
