Credit Analyst Intern

Job Summary

The Credit Analyst Intern will support the management team with day-to-day operations. Responsibilities will include maintaining and completing files and records as needed, and providing general administrative support to the management team and credit department personnel. This position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills as well as a strong attention to detail. The Credit Analyst Intern will play a key role in the setup of new credit and extensions of credit through research and analysis of financial documents working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Process direct work jobs to receive preliminary lien notices and provide related releases
  • Process of credit applications and the filing of all related documents
  • The validation and archiving of customer-provided resale tax information
  • Create and maintain customer master details to support credit and collection operations
  • Collection for COD Credit portfolios, to be responsible for the timely collection and reconciliation of all balances posted to those accounts
  • Provide support for internal and external customers
  • Incrementally serves as backup to other credit analysts, assisting with credit card payments, lien releases, lien matching, collection calls, and other tasks as assigned by Credit Management
  • Processing and mailing of monthly statements
  • Perform general office duties
  • Timely completion of special projects or other Credit & Collection related tasks as assigned by Credit Management

Education

Recent graduate or in the process of completing a bachelor’s degree.

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, and Word) 
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to meet assigned deadlines    
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Results-oriented, innovative, and strives for continuous improvement

Preferred:

  • Accounting Classes
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel

Conditions of Employment

Successful candidate must submit to a post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) registration/clearance as well as ongoing alcohol and drug testing.
