Job Summary

The Dispatch Representative works in the Dispatch Center to ensure timely product delivery while assisting construction contractors with ordering quality concrete and building materials. This position also directs delivery drivers daily to ensure the fleet is working at the optimum capacity. Our ready-mix team works together each day to ensure customer satisfaction and create long-lasting customer relationships.


  • Direct driver's daily activities
  • Responsible for scheduling divers, which includes start times and end times for daily shifts
  • Manage and schedule deliveries and communicates priorities
  • Promote and maintain a strong relationship between Customers, Sales, Plant Management and Drivers
  • Answer phone calls and determine customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products
  • Professionally resolve customer issues and problems
  • Maintain proficiency and accuracy in data entry of customer orders
  • Review orders in the system for proper mix design, travel times, and correct job start times; ensure customer-specific needs are met
  • Manage time effectively, meet personal goals and work effectively with other members of the dispatch team
  • Willing to learn concrete applications and mix design concepts, as well as able to assist customers with calculating material quantities for orders
  • Project professional company image through phone interaction
  • Perform departmental clerical tasks including preparation of department reports and the ability to maintain dispatch/order desk records and data


High school diploma/GED


  • Safety First mentality is a must
  • 1 to 3 years experience in dispatch or logistics
  • Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and compliance for intrastate deliveries
  • Skills in establishing and maintaining effective professional working relationships with staff and customers
  • Ability to work well under stress, in a busy fast-paced environment while maintaining an even temperament
  • Able to interact positively with a broad range of customers, vendors, and contractors
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience using delivery/trucking software; accurate data entry


  • Prior ready-mix dispatch experience
  • Knowledge of concreSafety First mentality is a must
