Quality Control Field Representative

Job Summary

The Quality Control Field Representative ensures concrete pouring activities are completed in an efficient and timely manner. This position is also responsible for maintaining contact with customers on the job site to assess the quality of work in progress and enhance customer service.

Compensation

$30-$35 / hr DOE

Responsibilities

  • Support quality control efforts on job site by immediately reporting mix problems to Quality Control
  • Research job details, i.e. yards ordered, slump requirement, assigned plant, mix, truck spacing, directions to job site, etc.
  • Maintain phone numbers for assigned customer contacts
  • Plan and coordinate concrete truck traffic flow for entering and exiting job site
  • Verify correct mix and start times with plants
  • Identify and resolve job site safety and environmental issues with the contractor
  • Assist drivers in backing up to the pump and at the job site
  • Maintain logs of trucks loaded and in route as well as field records related to any delivery or quality issue
  • Perform related duties as assigned

Education

High school diploma/GED

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Experience in customer service in the ready-mix industry or concrete driver experience
  • Ability to work both independently as part of a team; self-motivated
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of concrete and construction job sites, including occupational hazards and appropriate safety practices
  • Ability to travel to job site locations
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Conditions of Employment

Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated on-going drug and alcohol testing.
