Storekeeper II
Job Summary
The Storekeeper II receives, stores and issues equipment, material, supplies, tools and other items. Compiles stock records, maintains inventories, and possesses the capacity to operate storeroom vehicles.
This is a day shift, Monday - Friday role, with overtime scheduled, as necessary.

Compensation
$28.84/hour - $38.46/hour.
Responsibilities
- Receive various incoming equipment, material, supplies, tools and other items. Counts & verifies receipt on purchase order and/or packing slips. Checks for damage or breakage and reports any discrepancies.
- Put away stock items in correct storage areas or bins.
- Fill orders or issues supplies, tools, equipment and material from stock. Takes inventory of materials, and reports to the Storeroom Supervisor.
- Prepare periodic, special or perpetual inventories of stock including posting and/or typing on storeroom records. Checks physical inventory against records or other documentation. Advises when stock needs to be ordered to maintain desired inventory levels.
- Perform monthly and/or annual cycle counts for inventory control as required.
- Perform routine storeroom office duties such as checking receipts and purchase orders.
- Operate stores vehicles and forklifts. Assembles loads onto truck or automobile and delivers to point of use and unloads or assists in unloading. Ensure storeroom vehicles receive regular service, and upon finding any operational deficiency.
- Maintain work areas, including equipment in safe, neat, clean and orderly condition.
- Perform other work as assigned by the Storeroom Supervisor.
Education
High school diploma or GED required.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Current Forklift Certification, preferred.
- Ability to maintain a class C driver's license.
- Don proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
- Familiarity with computers and software used in managing the storeroom.
- Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate in the English language.
- Preferred knowledge of all types of equipment used in the manufacturing of cement.
- Knowledge of hazards associated with areas of responsibility.
- Ability to sit, stand, stoop, and bend for extended periods of time as required by the job.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle and a forklift.
- Walk on all types of surfaces (uneven and/or slippery ground.)
- Physical ability to climb on equipment.
- Must be able to use proper Personal Protective Equipment as required.
- Must be able to lift and carry items up to 70 lbs.
- Ability to work in surroundings that include heat, dust, vibration, heights and confined spaces.
- Must be able to walk long distances, climb ladders, stairs, and stockpiles, stoop, and crawl under and into enclosed spaces.
- Ability to see and hear safety indicators and warnings.
- Must work in all weather conditions: heat, cold, wet, dry and/or dusty conditions and near the plant’s pyro-process.
- Will have exposure to all levels of noise that require use of proper hearing protection.
- Exposure to cement, clay, limestone and various lab chemicals. See MSDS for more details.

- Must be able to walk long distances, climb ladders, stairs, and stockpiles, stoop, and crawl under and into enclosed spaces.

Conditions of Employment
Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated on-going drug and alcohol testing.
