Maintenance Planner
Job Summary
This is an on-site, full-time, salaried exempt role.
The Maintenance Planner assists with the logistics of maintenance for the assigned plant, including the planning and completion of all maintenance work with other departments.

Compensation
$85,000 - $95,000 annually
Responsibilities
- Ensure required parts for the repairs and installations of equipment are available when needed; manage spare parts
- Responsible for machinery reliability improvement and engineering
- Maintain preventive maintenance files, data, work orders, equipment history, work schedules and prepare related reports
- Assist with maintenance planning, daily and yearly outages and predictive maintenance
- Assist in the development of equipment inspection procedures and routes
- Notify Maintenance Manager of any discrepancies, problems, lack of parts, equipment or supplies that may cause delays in department work assignments
- Track maintenance costs and assist Maintenance Manager with the development of the maintenance budget
- Interact with contractors on special projects and daily maintenance projects; review contractor timesheets
- Comply/enforce all governmental requirements, rules and regulations as well as company policies and plant work rules
- Contribute to plant capital projects
- Plan, coordinate, and schedule work required
- May supervise hourly employees and contractors and orders materials to ensure efficiency and success
- Assist with capital budget and maintenance projects
- Provide guidance to the mechanical maintenance personnel in the repair, maintenance and installation functions
Education
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field or qualifications exhibited by an equivalent combination of education and experience for the role.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, i.e., Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Experience in the maintenance or planning departments of a large industrial manufacturer
- Excellent coordination, organization, communication and problem-solving skills; high attention to detail
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics
- Able to provide leadership and direction to the plant personnel
- Able to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work in an office and outside plant environment
- Ability to travel, on occasion
Preferred:
- Cement manufacturing experience
- SAP experience
Conditions of Employment
Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated on-going drug and alcohol testing.
