Job Summary
The Laborer performs various tasks associated with the manufacturing of concrete products and has close working relationships with production crews engaged in various manufacturing tasks and production lines.

Compensation
$20.00 - $22.00 hourly
Responsibilities
- Assist in pouring concrete during production
- Clean and set-up concrete forms for various concrete products
- Application of solution and sealing compounds during concrete products production (Patching)
- Repair defects in concrete surfaces, using mortar or grout and trowel, and smooth rough spots, using chisel and other tools (Patching)
- Load, unload, and move cement, sand, and gravel to work areas, using hoe, shovel, wheelbarrow, hand truck, or other equipment as directed
- Operate and/or assist workers engaged in operating cranes, front-end loaders, forklifts, or other hoisting machines used to lift and move machinery, equipment, or materials, such as concrete castings, structural steel, concrete slabs, mill rolls, scrap metal, pipe, dirt, and others as assigned
- Maintain and clean yard and plant, using shovel, broom, and other materials as assigned
- Perform other tasks associated with production of concrete products as assigned
Education
High school diploma/GED
Requirements/Qualifications
- Ability to read and write (English preferred)
- Ability to use and maintain tools and equipment
- Valid California driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to work safely and properly follow all company policies
- Work cooperatively with others
- Can be exposed to extremes of hot and cold weather
- Physical requirements: lift up to 100 pounds; requires sitting, standing, walking, forward bending, twisting, climbing, squatting, kneeling, balancing, driving, pulling/pushing, and reaching.
- Ability to work various shifts
- Ability to work overtime as needed
Conditions of Employment
Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated on-going drug and alcohol testing.
