Plant Maintenance

Job Summary

The Plant Maintenance role is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, environmentally compliant, and efficient plant operation.

Responsibilities

To include, but not limited to:

  • Repair and maintain (welding/cutting) plant equipment
  • Use various tools, such as sledgehammers, wrenches, screwdrivers, cutting torch, welder, and pneumatic hammer/drill
  • Electrical troubleshooting; order parts and supplies
  • Communicate with plant crew, quality control technicians, maintenance team and sales representatives to ensure successful daily operations
  • Some heavy equipment operation may be required
  • Maintain a clean, safe, environmentally compliant, and efficient operation
  • Work safely and efficiently in a multi-tasking, high pressure environment

Education

High School Diploma/GED

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Experience in Ready Mix plant maintenance and/or operations
  • Physically able to climb, stoop, bend, squat, lift, stretch, push/pull, vibrate, twist, kneel, stand, walk, sit, reach
  • Requires occasional lifting up to 75lbs
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills
  • Must have the ability to provide own tools
  • Experience complying with OSHA and state environmental regulations
  • Understanding of ready-mix quality control testing and specifications
  • Able to work cooperatively with others
  • May be exposed to extremes of hot or cold weather
  • Must be able to work varying work shifts with varying start and stop times
  • Overtime work plus nights may be required
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
