Ready Mix Loader Operator
Job Summary
The Ready-Mix Loader Operator is responsible for operating equipment commonly found necessary for the proper maintenance of a ready-mix plant. Equipment operated will include loader, water truck, man lift, forklift, etc. Training will also cover back-up batch activities and plant maintenance. The daily responsibilities may not be site-specific.

Compensation
$26.50 /hour
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate safe and efficient operation of equipment while completing assigned tasks
- Perform pre-operational/post-operational checks of equipment to ensure equipment can be operated safely
- Operate a range of loaders including skip loader, front loader, man lift, and forklift
- Perform work area examinations to ensure a safe work environment; any observed hazards must be noted, reported to the supervisor and corrected if possible
- Comply with company policies, procedures and work rules, as well as federal safety, health, and environmental regulations
- Perform plant maintenance activities as directed
- Work may extend to include general labor duties such as shoveling and sweeping
- Support other plant activities as directed
- Some weekend and night work will be required
Education
High school diploma or GED
Requirements/Qualifications
- Experience operating loaders, man lifts and forklifts
- Experience operating equipment outside in all weather conditions
- Ability to work under pressure
- Work with minimal supervision
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly and climb stairs and ladders up to 24 feet high
- Must have reliable transportation for all work shifts
- Trustworthy and excellent attendance record
Preferred:
- Strong computer skills
- Any maintenance-related certifications
- Commercial driver’s license
Conditions of Employment
Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated on-going drug and alcohol testing.
