Parts Coordinator

Job Summary

The Parts Coordinator will provide support for any transportation related and operational needs. Main responsibilities include ordering and administering purchase orders with suppliers in response to requisitions for goods and services, pulling parts and shop supplies, and ensuring specifications, quantity and quality of orders are correct.

Compensation

$25.00 /hour

Responsibilities

  • Order and receive parts and shop supplies
  • Communicate with vendors as necessary
  • Data entry of all of mechanic’s work orders
  • Handle and appropriately store parts
  • Handle parts warranties
  • Review shop schedule for parts that will be necessary to perform repairs
  • Maintain accurate records including files and any shop records
  • Create and manage P.O. processing for shop

Education

High School Diploma/GED and/or 1-3 years related work experience

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of purchasing, materials, and supply chain functions
  • Excellent customer service, communication, organization and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Direct day to day activities of Parts Coordinator ensuring all department tasks and duties are completed accurately and timely
  • Ability to provide guidance and feedback, as necessary, to Parts Coordinator
  • Dependable; attendance when scheduled very important
  • Attention to detail and highly accurate
  • Physical Requirements: Climbing, stooping, bending, squatting, frequent lifting of 50lbs, occasional lifting of 75 – 100lbs, stretching, driving/sitting
  • Must be able to communicate with company personnel and able to work cooperatively and efficiently with others
  • May be exposed to extremes of hot or cold weather and be able to work in wet environments, white at plant sites
  • Must be able to work flexible hours with varying start/stop times; overtime work will be required as is needed by the company
  • ANSI approved PPE will be provided and must be used when required
  • Must be able to read and write in English
  • Strong computer skills

Preferred:

  • Experience with Ready Mix and Heavy Equipment preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office (especially Excel)
  • SAP experience

Conditions of Employment

Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated on-going drug and alcohol testing.
