CalPortland is seeking a summer helper for our Internal Controls department. This position is ideal for a student interested in accounting.

Compensation

$17.50/hr-$24.00/hr DOE 

Responsibilities

• Complete Safety and MSHA training and any other site/job specific required training
• Assist in conducting preliminary reviews to identify business process-related risks to determine objectives, scope, audit programs, and extent of testing requirements
• Assist in routine housekeeping and maintenance of the facilities
• Assist in providing customers with high-quality value-added audit, internal control, and consulting services 
• Learn about other CalPortland departments and interface as required   
• Perform tasks as assigned

Education

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field

Requirements/Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Good attendance and punctual
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting

Preferred:

• Experience with SAP
• Prior experience or internship in the construction or building materials industry

Conditions of Employment

Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
