IT Service Desk Operator

Job Summary

The IT Service Desk Operator provides end user IT support to all CalPortland users. Join a growing corporate office staff to participate in the deployment of corporate-wide IT initiatives and to engage in ongoing desktop and peripheral device support, mobile device provisioning, access requests, etc. Key technologies supported by this role include end-user computers, printers and peripherals, mobile devices, SAP (ERP), point-of-sale systems, network/telecommunications equipment, video systems, and truck tracking systems.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures appropriate Service Desk response through phone, email or in-person requests
  • Monitors and prioritizes service requests for timely responses and updates
  • Proactively provides issue escalation including communication, using best practices and following company protocol
  • Follows through on service requests submitted through ticketing system to include issue resolution
  • Supports IT endeavors by demonstrating exceptional communication and utilizing highly effective documentation
  • Assists with equipment set up for end user systems

Education

Bachelor’s degree is preferred

Requirements/Qualifications

  • 2 + years of IT experience in MS-Windows installation, configuration, troubleshooting, peripherals support, network connectivity set-up and issue resolution
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and able to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Able to manage multiple ongoing projects and assignments

Conditions of Employment
