Accounting Clerk
Job Summary
The Accounting Clerk provides support to the accounts payable department by managing a shared mailbox and ensuring all emails are routed properly, opening purchase requisitions, reconciling vendor statements and STO reports, managing office supplies, receiving goods/services in the system by processing BOLs or Packing slips. Manage the main phone lines and walk in traffic.

Compensation
Responsibilities
- Answer main phone line
- Manage incoming Invoices/statements through accounts payable email account
- Forward invoices to corporate accounts payable
- Sort invoices and statements to be filed
- Manage all purchase requisitions
- Resolve vendor statement issues
- Pull Concrete tickets reports for previous day’s tickets
- Sort tickets, ensuring that all tickets are accounted for; ensure that tickets are complete
- Scan and save tickets; file hard copies
- Communicate with customers requesting AB219 forms
- Stock Transport Order (STO) Report – weekly review, reconciliation and filing (hard copy and electronic copy)
- Manage and order coffee/office supplies (monthly); re-stock break room
- Sort and distribute daily mail (twice daily)
- GR invoices
- Enter fuel logs when received
- Stamp daily outgoing mail by 4:00 p.m.
- Sort incoming packages and inter-company mail upon receipt
- Assist walk-in customers/employees/couriers
Education
- High school diploma/GED
- Associate’s degree preferred
Requirements/Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel)
- Customer Service oriented
- Punctuality is a must
- Professional demeanor with strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with various departments; ability to take direction and prioritize deadlines
- Attention to detail
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
Preferred:
• Experience in SAP or other ERP system
Conditions of Employment
Successful candidate must submit to a post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) registration/clearance as well as ongoing alcohol and drug testing.
