Job Summary

The ideal candidate will have experience as an intern/staff for legislator. This position is a full-time, paid summer internship. Seeking a success-oriented, self-starter with strong networking skills.

Compensation

$22-$26/hr DOE 

Responsibilities

  • Develop talking points
  • Interface with company lobbyists, management and legislative staff
  • Work with the IT department to develop an advocacy page on the company’s intranet
  • Develop a database of representatives and contacts

Education

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Government or a related field; preferably Junior level or above student

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and reading skills
  • Timeliness
  • Good organizational skills
  • Clean driving record
  • Office work – must be able to lift 40 lbs.

Conditions of Employment

Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated on-going drug and alcohol testing.
