Job Summary

The Aggregate Maintenance Operator performs a combination of duties involving general maintenance/operation of a recycle track plant.

Responsibilities

  • Complete daily service requirements of aggregate plant or preventative maintenance issues
  • Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance problems to ensure minimum cost and prevent operational delays
  • Monitor, repair, and change worn parts
  • General maintenance and welding for wear prevention of equipment
  • Operate loader and other equipment as needed
  • General labor duties such as shoveling and sweeping

Education

High School Diploma

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Available to work overtime; extended hours and weekend work as required for timely project completion
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions; work majority is outside at a mobile crushing facility
  • Ability to lift 95 lbs. infrequently, 50 lbs. frequently, and climb stairs/ladders up to 24’
  • Ability to use various electric and air-powered hand, welding, and cutting tools as appropriate

Preferred:

  • 1+ years of experience with open-pit sand and gravel operations
  • Working knowledge of aggregate production and associated equipment, and understanding of operations and safety requirements for the equipment
  • Experience in welding and fabrication
  • Familiar with MSHA regulations; MSHA annual refresher training
     

Conditions of Employment

Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
