Associate Project Engineer

Job Summary

The Associate Project Engineer provides project management skills to ensure the successful development and completion of projects within budget and on schedule. They will manage projections from conception, design, procurement, installation, and follow-up.

 

This is an in-office role, based in Oro Grande, CA.

Compensation

$75,000 - $85,000 annually and dependent on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Supports Maintenance and Production departments in water distribution and Compressed Air systems.
  • With help of fellow engineers, develop requests for proposals, bid documents, specifications, and contracts
  • Participates in the bidding and construction of capital projects
  • Assists with planning capital projects for both 1 year and 5 year forecasts.
  • Participates in technical studies, surveys, and site inspections
  • Communicates with Senior Engineer, vendors, purchasing department, equipment suppliers, contractors, and plant personnel in the planning and execution of projects.
  • Participates in project meetings and monitors project status.
  • Ensures that projects are executed safely per prevailing safety standards and company requirements
  • Writes technical reports and Standard Operating Procedures as required
  • Maintains Engineering department files and drawings

 

Education

Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering required. Related disciplines may be considered.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work under pressure and solve problems as they arise
  • Understands engineering drawings and plans
  • Experience with AutoCAD or Solidworks
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be able to travel as required
